Tom Peters The Circle of Innovation

I do a lot of interim management which includes both coaching and mentoring. I love working with people who have the desire to make a step into management and seek knowledge to make the required progression.

I’m often asked about what books to read and who has been influential to me. My first words of advice are to avoid repetition. In many sectors we work in there is a void of excitement around creativity and ideas within literature and sometimes a continuation of a theme or logic of working practices which simply don’t work.

That’s why I will always suggest the following books Michael Hammer (The Reengineering Revolution) and Tom Peters (The Circle of Innovation). Both books specifically Peters are about challenging the way that we look at organisations and how such organisations could radically change from that of those who stand still to those who run with the pack.

Within mentoring I talk a lot about Peters and others views. To find out more about our approach to mentoring give us a call.
